Are you the kind of person who has great ideas?
Then you need to know about S.C.A.M.P.E.R.
It’s an acronym used to refine ideas or innovate completely new ones.
And it goes like this:
S – Substitute (Substitute people, component, materials)
C – Combine (Combine with other functions or things)
A – Adapt (Adapt functions or visual appearance)
M – Modify (Modify the size, shape, texture, and/or acoustics)
P – Put To Other Use (Other, new, combined uses)
E – Eliminate (Reduce, simplify, eliminate anything superfluous)
R – Reverse (Use conversely, invert, reverse)
Pretty neat, huh?
Now this may SEEM to have a mechanical inclination but think beyond that.
1) How can you apply this to your products/services?
2) What do you use daily that needs a completely new design/function? You may be sitting on a million-dollar invention. Seriously!
“The task is not so much to see what no one has yet seen, but to THINK what nobody yet has THOUGHT about that which EVERYBODY sees.”
